Medicine Return Box at Upper Allen Police Department

The Upper Allen Police Department would like to announce that a Medicine Return Box is now located in the lobby of the police department. Citizens can use this box to safely and anonymously dispose of unwanted medicine they may have, to include prescription and over-the-counter solid medications, inhalers, creams, ointments, nasal sprays and pet medications.

There is no fee associated with the disposal of these medications and users are asked to either remove all prescription medication labels or place all the pills in a plastic bag. The return box will be available for use during normal business hours (Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM). Liquids are not accepted.

Landscape Trailer with Fuel Tank Stolen Overnight

Sometime overnight a landscape trailer was stolen from a construction site near the intersection of Orchard Boulevard and Old Barn Road. The trailer has a rusty brown 300 gallon diesel fuel tank with a new GPI fuel pump and blue handle. The trailer’s registration is: XCH8048 (Pennsylvania). A suspect vehicle is described as a white dual axle pickup truck with chrome or stainless trim on the tailgate.

On July 11, 2014 the above pictured individual entered the Wal-Mart located in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania and used a stolen credit card to purchase merchandise. Police Investigate Pedestrian Struck at Messiah Lifeways

On Thursday, July 17 at approximately 9:30 am, the Upper Allen Police responded to the Messiah Lifeways campus to investigate a traffic crash involving a pedestrian. Police learned that Taylor was traveling north on Oak Oval when she became distracted. Her vehicle left the roadway and struck Encimer, who was walking on the sidewalk. Encimer was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The Upper Allen Police were assisted at the scene by West Shore EMS and the Upper Allen Fire Police.

Elusive Black Bear Captured in Upper Allen

In the afternoon of July 14, 2014, the Pennsylvania Game Commission captured the nuisance black bear roaming Upper Allen neighborhoods. The bear is alive in the above picture and only tranquilized for processing by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
