Car Strikes Disabled Vehicle on Route 15

On August 10, 2011 at 8:40 AM, Upper Allen Police responded to US Route 15 in the area of I-76 for an automobile accident. An empty box truck was disabled off the roadway and was struck by a Saab convertible that had been traveling South on US Route 15. Brenner suffered injuries as a result of the crash and was transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment. Orr, who was seated in the disabled box truck, was not injured. Upper Allen Police were assisted at the scene by the Upper Allen Fire Department and West Shore EMS. Police are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the crash contact the Upper Allen Police at 717-795-2445.

Police Investigate Child Luring Report

On August 8, 2011 at approximately 7:30 PM Upper Allen Police responded to the area of Ascott Way and Chilteren Way to investigate a report of attempted child luring. The victim reported that they heard a person call to them from the nearby woods. No one was seen and no description was available. Police searched the wooded area between South Market Street and Chilteren Way in the Whitney Ridge development and no one was located. The investigation is ongoing.

Bobcat Skid Loader and Plate Compactor Stolen from Job Site

Sometime between August 4th at 5:00 PM and the early morning hours of August 8th a Bobcat skid loader, similar to the one pictured above, along with a 2006 Bobcat plate compactor were stolen from the 2000 block of Liberty Drive in the Winding Hills development. The skid loader is a model S-185 with a serial number of 525020641. The plate compactor has a serial number of CD0271.

Police Receive Additional Reports of Theft from Vehicles

Sometime during the overnight hours of August 6, 2011 into August 7, 2011 unknown persons entered several parked vehicles and stole property that was located inside. Many of these vehicles had been left unlocked. The vehicles involved were parked on Harvest Lane, Nanroc Drive, and Stonehedge Lane in Upper Allen Township. These thefts occurred in the same geographical area as a previous string of similar thefts that occurred on the night of July 30, 2011.

Multiple Locations in Upper Allen Vandalized with Red Spray Paint

On July 24, 2011 multiple locations in Upper Allen Township were found to be vandalized with red spray paint. The vandalism occurred primarily in three areas. The 800-1700 block of South York Street, the 2500 block of Fisher Road, and at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Mt. Allen Drive. The vandalism consists of swastikas, a pentacle, and street signs altered by paint.
