Since about 4:30 AM on May 11, 2012 a small bear has been spotted several times in Upper Allen Township. The first sighting was in the Ashcombe neighborhood. The bear was then seen in the Canterbury neighborhood several hours later and shortly thereafter near the intersection of Gettysburg Pike and Grantham Road. The bear has not proven to be a danger to anyone and the PA Game Commission has been notified. Citizens are encouraged to report any future sightings of the bear to Upper Allen Police at 717-795-2445.
